This year I want to promote and support many of my favorite charities. Some of these will be personally important, some will be timely based on world events and some may be groups I discover over this year of giving. I hope by creating this blog, donating my daily $5.00 and bringing attention to the cause, I can change the world in a good way. EDGE OF EXISTENCE


The EDGE of Existence programme highlights and conserves one-of–a-kind species that are on the verge of extinction.

We have scored the world's mammals,
amphibians, corals and birds according to how Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered (EDGE) they are. The top 100 in each group are highlighted here.

These are the world's most extraordinary threatened species – frogs that give birth through their skin and mammals that are immune to cyanide – yet most are unfamiliar and not currently receiving conservation attention.
